Contributory negligence in the event of an accident at high speed through no fault of your own
If you are at fault for a car accident, you have to pay for everything. Or not? In a ruling dated 15 November 2022 (7 U 41/22), the Higher Regional Court of Schleswig-Holstein decided that a speed of 160 kilometers per hour or more, and thus at least 30 km/h above the guideline value, can lead to drivers being held jointly liable in the event of a rear-end collision.
