Small and medium-sized enterprises, (solo) self-employed persons and non-profit organizations can as of now Applications for the Bridging aid II submit an application. The application deadline for this ends on December 31, 2020. From June to August 2020, bridging aid I supported SMEs due to the loss of sales caused by the coronavirus crisis. This is now being seamlessly followed up by the so-called Bridging Aid II.

Who is eligible to apply?
The following are eligible to apply for Bridging Assistance II small and medium-sized enterprises, (Solo) self-employed and freelancers all sectors and non-profit organizations.
For what period does Bridging Assistance II apply?
September to December 2020
What is the funding requirement?
The applicant must have suffered a drop in sales, namely
- in two consecutive months in the period from April to August 2020 of at least 50 % compared to the respective previous year's months (April to August 2019)
or
- in the months of April to August 2020 of at least 30 % on average compared to the same period of the previous year (April to August 2019)
In the case of strong seasonal fluctuations in sales, a special feature applies:
less than 15 % of the 2019 annual turnover was generated in the period from April 2019 to August 2019.
How is the funding rate calculated?
Slump in sales in the month of production compared to the previous year (e.g. September 2020 compared to September 2019)
More than 70 % slump in sales = 90 % Funding ratio
Between 50 % and 70 % slump in sales = 60 % Funding ratio
Between 30 % and 49.99 % sales slump = 40 % Funding ratio
Less than 30 % Sales slump = 0 % Funding ratio
Which fixed operating costs are eligible?
- Rents and leases for commercial real estate, land and premises
- Further rental costs
- Interest expenses for credits and loans
- Financing cost share of leasing installments
- Expenses for necessary maintenance, servicing or storage of operating equipment
- Expenses for electricity, water, heating, cleaning and hygiene measures
- Property taxes
- Operating license fees
- Insurance, subscriptions and other fixed expenses
- Fees for StB/WP/vBp/RA incurred as part of the application for Corona bridging assistance
- Personnel expenses (are taken into account at a flat rate of 20 &)
- Costs for trainees
- Commissions that travel agency owners have paid back to tour operators due to corona-related cancellations
Is there a cap on funding?
It takes place No offsetting with subsidies already received from Phase 1. Nevertheless, the following applies: costs are only eligible once.
Arrangements for subsequent payment or repayment?
If the estimate is too low, an additional payment is possible after the final calculation of the bridging assistance. Any overpayment must be repaid.
Application for bridging assistance 2
Applications are submitted digitally and can only be submitted in collaboration with a tax consultant, tax advising lawyer, auditor or sworn accountant. The service provider registers on the standardized nationwide online platform and submits all the necessary documents digitally. Your tax advisor or auditor can find out about the processing status at any time and is notified immediately when a decision is available.
